Why the Bible is Banned
Before I make my major point, I would like to clarify a major difference in the Bible and the Quran. Both books portray God pushing violence on other races and/or religions at one point or another. The difference is understanding when in the books they promote it.
The Quran promotes violence to anyone who does not agree with its beliefs. It does so to the point that when terrorists commit their crimes of hatred towards other countries and religious groups, they are not doing it against the Quran's teachings, but they are said to be taking the Quran to an extreme. Terrorist groups are not called Anti-Allah in the Muslim communities. They are called extremists, because they take what the Quran actually does teach and go too far with it.
The Bible on the other hand, every bit of the violence was in the Old Testament. When God dealt with the unfaithful with physcial death. Christianity however is not based on the Old Testament teachings. Though we use the Old Testament a lot, we use it to help us understand the teachings of the New Testament. The entire basis of Christian teachings however is according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, in the New Testament. There is not a single verse where Jesus promotes harming another or hatred or unforgiveness in the entire New Testament.
So basically...
Islam literally promotes hatred and violence to other religions, but extremists take it to far.
Christianity does not promote any hatred or violence in any way. Those who do it are not extremists, but are doing it against what the Bible teaches.
Why is this clarification so important?
Islam refers to itself as the religion of peace. Yet it literally promotes violence to other religions. Still, it is not really banned in any country in the world. When any country starts to stop it from being used, there is a major amount of flack they receive.
The Bible on the other hand, even though the very core of Christianity is to love and forgive others, is called by the world a dangerous religion and is now banned in 52 countries.
Try to make sense of that!
Ask yourself why? Why would a book that promotes the death of those who don't agree be considered peaceful and a book that promotes love and forgiveness be banned as dangerous?
Atheists claim that Christianity is just a fairytale. How many countries have banned Cinderella? I know, I know, they don't push Cinderella as being real and the Bible is pushed as being true. So what is wrong with teaching others to love everyone and forgive others?
The reason so many hate the Bible? Is because they fear it. They know that those who do believe it are changed. The more one studies the Bible and believes, the more God actually changes them. He makes them a more loving person. A more forgiving person. But He also fills them with faith and courage. And countries that ban the Bible are afraid of people becoming brave and full of faith. They typically are the countries that suppress their people and try to stomp down their faith and courage.
The Bible is also true and we know this for one good reason. It is the only religious text that has prophecies that are coming true. God said He would bring His people home from every land for a second time...
Isaiah 11:11 (NASB)
11 Then it will happen on that day that the Lord Will again recover with His hand the second time the remnant of His people who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Throughout history, only one nation has ever been decimated to the point it no longer existed and at a later point it returned. The Assyrians destroyed Israel and chased the Jews out of the land. God brought them back to Israel and restored them. What are the odds that the only nation in history to ever do it, would be the same nation the Bible said it would happen to? Now some believe the book of Isaiah might have been written after that happened. At least that is how they will justify not believing it was a prophecy that came true. But that scripture above doesn't say it will happen once but a second time. That would be too much to believe that the Bible would say it would happen twice to the same people like that and then it would happen wouldn't it?
In 70 AD, the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and ran the people out of Israel a second time. For 1,878 years Israel did not even exist. Then in 1948 Israel was once again made a nation and the Jewish people returned home from all over the world.
Try to figure out how that happened before Isaiah was written!
The Bible is real. It is true. It proves itself when you study it in depth. There are millions of people all over the world who would testify that God has changed them when they started growing close to Him. Real genuine experiences that no other religion proclaims.
The Bible has power in God's Word. Far, far more than any motivational book could ever have. It doesn't only change one's confidence because it has changed many who had plenty of self confidence. It doesn't change your self confidence. It changes your heart!
If the Bible is true and God is real, then by default, the devil is real too. The angel who rebelled against God, whose only goal is to destroy what God loves. Namely us. The devil who is considered the master of this world.
If the devil is real, then it is only logical that he would want to stop people from studying God's Word. It is only natural that he would want to ban the Bible and not the Quran.
There is a reason the Bible is banned in 52 countries and the Quran is not.
