Why Pre-Trib Rapture: Marriage of the Lamb
The Pre-Tribulation Rapture has a whole lot of real evidence in the Bible. To the point that when you put it all together, it becomes the clear truth. I have put much of it in articles but they become long articles that many do not want to read. I felt it time to break it all down. This short article is one in a series that when put together, they prove the Pre-Trib rapture is true.
Revelation 19:7-8 (NASB)
7 Let’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.” 8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Every scholar agrees. The bride is the church. It clarifies that when it says the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. So here in Revelation 19, verses 7 & 8, the church is wed to the Lamb. Again, keep in mind that it describes the bride as wearing fine linen, bright and clean.
If you keep reading, it is only a few verses later when Revelation reveals Jesus preparing for the Second Coming.
Revelation 19:11-14 (NASB)
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
So Jesus is going to return in the Second Coming riding a white horse. He will be followed by His army "which is in heaven". They too will be riding white horses. Look at how it describes the army! They are wearing fine linen, white and clean! Remember the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints! This army that follows Jesus back in the Second Coming is the Bride that was just wed to Him in the marriage of the Lamb! This is the church! If Jesus raptures us on His way down in the second coming, how can we possibly follow Him back from heaven?
This literally makes it impossible for the post-trib rapture to be true. The only way we could be married to the Lamb and then be in heaven and follow Him back, is if we are raptured before the Second Coming! This fits the Pre-trib Rapture.
