Do you fear the End Times?
Often I see Christians posting on Facebook, connecting the pandemic of the Cvid-19 Coronavirus with the End Times. Usually in the comments there will be other Christians saying things that make it sound like they dread what is coming. Sometimes you see comments from Christians who get excited over it. How should we feel about the possibilities of the End Times being upon us?
First off, I would like to clarify something. The Covid-19 is not the End Times. Anyone who actually studies the End Times can attest to this fact. We are not currently (At the time of writing this) into the End Times mentioned in scripture. Likely, before the 7 year tribulation of the End Times even starts, we will see a war break out where Russia, Turkey and Iran, along with a few others, unite and move to destroy Israel. In this war, their armies will be destroyed in the mountains before they ever have a chance to attack Israel. Then there needs to be a treaty signed between many nations. Among these nations will be a group of ten nations that are united in a coalition. Since the Russian, Turkey and Iranian armies have not yet been destroyed, nor has a ten nation coalition been formed, we have not yet entered into the End Times.
However, I do believe this is the birthing pangs Jesus speaks about in Matthew, that precedes the End Days. Emanuel Macron, the president of France, has been pushing for years to form a ten nation coalition that would unite those nations armies into one great army to police the European nations. Currently the Russians, Turkey and Iran are all allies for the only time in history. So I do believe these things are preparing to happen and we are not far from the End Times beginning. But how should we feel about that?
In my personal opinion, I believe that if the End Times scares you, that is a strong sign that you need to get right with God. Let me say that again...
If the End Times is something you fear, it means you are not right with God!
Anyone who is a true believer that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He rose from the dead, has absolutely nothing to fear. For we will be saved! The Word of God is very clear that there will be a day when Jesus comes in the clouds. Following Him will be the souls of every true believer who has ever passed away. With a shout, Jesus will call and first the bodies of the dead Christians will rise, imperishable. Then as their souls are once again joined to their imperishable bodies, we true believers who are still alive will be changed from perishable to imperishable. As quick as the twinkling of an eye, we will all be changed. Then we will all be caught up together to be with Jesus in the clouds.
Many Christians believe this is the same event as the Second Coming of Christ. Many believe it may be a separate event but it happens at the same time. All of those who believe this are wrong! In studying God's Word, there are some things I have become absolutely positive about. One of those things is that it is impossible for the rapture to happen after the 7 years of tribulation. It absolutely must happen well before the Second Coming of Christ. I do not believe it can even happen after the midpoint of the tribulation and there is strong reason to believe it will happen well before the midpoint. That means the true believers will not have to go through the worst of the End Times and may not need to go through any of them.
To me? The End Times means and end to all of the agony in this life. It means the new life in an imperishable body and always feeling wonderful is near. It means the time when I can be in the presence of the Lord continuously is drawing close! Why would I fear that? That is a reason to feel joy, not fear!
Fear is the direct opposite of faith! If you truly have faith in Christ, you cannot possibly have fear. If you do fear anything, it is strictly because you are lacking faith. If you fear dying, it is because you don't truly have faith on what is waiting for you. For if you truly believe in heaven and Christ and God, then you cannot possibly be afraid to die.
If the thought of the End Times is drawing near scares you, you are either not right with God, or you have been taught wrong. This is not a time to fear but to feel excitement! Anyone who believes in Jesus as their Lord in their heart is saved. They have nothing to fear for their days of glory are drawing near!
Unbelievers!
If you are not a Christian, then you have every reason to fear. If your faith is not in Christ, then you are looking at living through the worst seven years this world has ever witnessed in the near future. Think about how bad this world has gotten at times through history. There is not a time in history where this world has gone through anything near as bad as what is coming! In the seven years of tribulation ahead of us, over half the population will be killed. Think on that for a minute! The Bible tells us that half of the population will be killed off. There is around 7.3 billion people in the world today. That means 3.65 billion people will die inside of a 7 year span. You will have a 50% chance of dying in those seven years.
Oh, I forgot to mention. After those seven years are finished, when Christ comes back? All of the rest of the unbelievers will then die. All of them! All that will be left alive will be those who became Christians after the rapture. Those who endured to the end will be granted to repopulate the earth for the next thousand years before God finally destroys this earth and gives all of His faithful a new earth to live on forever.
Yes, I would definitely say that the unbeliever has plenty to worry about. Lucky for them they don't believe this will even happen huh? Trust me, it won't matter if they believe or not. Whether you believe in God or not, it doesn't change whether God is real or not. The difference in the true believers and the unbelievers? God has proven to the true believers He is real. That's why we are true believers. Because anyone who truly seeks Him, finds Him. Every one of his truly faithful have experienced His presence in their lives in a way they cannot deny it. Thats why I know all of this is true. Because I have been in the presence of God in a way where I cannot deny it. If you threatened to kill me or anyone I love, I could never deny God. And if you have never felt that presence, that is because you never truly sought God!
If you are a believer who fears the End Times, study His Word. The better you know His word, the better you know God. The more you fill yourself with God, the stronger your faith will be.
If you are agnostic and just don't know? Seek God. Speak to a Christian who really knows what He is about. Don't listen to these Joel Osteen and company type of Christians who care more about making money than serving God, but find a good Pastor or any True Christian and talk to them.
