The Truth of Salvation
Are you a true believer? Are you saved? Nobody can truly answer that but you and God. However, many will question their salvation. Unsure if they are saved. So I figured I would put together a little test for people to take to find out if they are saved or not. Are you prepared to learn the truth?
Below there are multiple claims. Rank each one of them from 1 to 10. If you think the phrase is false, give it a 1. IF you are absolutely certain it is true, give it a 10. If you are not 100% certain it is true or false, then give it a number in between that is closest to how certain you are. There are not many but if you want to be clear, write each number down so you can add them up at the end. Remember, if you truly want to know the truth if you are saved or not, it is imperative that you are completely honest with each statement. Think about each one before you give it a ranking.
1) God is real!
2) Jesus was real!
3) Jesus died on the cross to save us.
4) If Jesus had not died for us, we would all perish in hell.
5) God raised Jesus physically from the dead.
6) Jesus is Lord!
Now add your total together. With six statements, you have a possibility of anywhere from 6 to 60 points. If your score is not a full total of 60 points, you are likely not going to heaven when you die!
There is only one thing that gets anyone to heaven. It is called faith. To truly believe that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. If you do not believe God is real or that Jesus was real, you cannot possibly believe these other things. If you do not believe died to save you from hell, then you cannot possibly accept the gift of salvation.
Just as important as believing these things, you must believe them with all of your heart. IF you have any doubt, then it is not with all of your heart. In that case, you really need to start learning about the Lord more and grow closer to Him.
Many will try to claim you must be baptized by water, but the Bible doesn't actually say that. Many will say you need to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. That is true, but they don't understand that baptism of the Holy Spirit is something that happens immediately upon you having a change of heart and believing that Jesus is Lord. There are many things many churches claim about salvation that are not true. The truth of God's Word is that anyone who truly believes that Jesus is Lord enough that they are willing to say it out loud for others to hear, and believes with all their heart that God raised Him from the dead, is saved.
