Chrislam
There is a growing blasphemy that is being taught by more and more pastors of different denominations. It is a blasphemy that has developed due to the growing desire to accommodate the politically correct beliefs of this world. This blasphemy is referred to as Chrislam and teaches that Christians and those of the Islamic belief should accept each other as brethren for we all serve the same God.
If your Pastor teaches this in any way, you need to leave your church and find a new one.
First off, Islam is a false religion. It is proven to be false for multiple reasons.
1) The countless mistakes within the Quran. Just in its misrepresentation of the Bible itself is proof of that. For if the Quran was truly given to them from God, it would at least not make so many blatant mistakes about what is in the Bible. It teaches that the Holy Trinity that Christians believe is of God, the Son and Mary the Mother, when in truth the Bible teaches of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is all knowing and would not make such a mistake of a belief that is in writing and easily proven to be wrong. It also makes the mistake of confusing different people in the Bible who lived at very different times but had the same name.
By the way, this is one thing I have always felt shows some authenticity to truth with the Bible. When people write books that are fiction, they tend to always stay away from having two different characters have the same name because it causes confusion for the reader. The Bible has numerous people with the same names.
2) It gives itself an out.
Surah 2:106
"We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?"
This is saying that a verse or rule from God can be ignored if a similar or better one is found. This way Muhammad did not have to follow his own laws because he could just point to another verse to justify himself. This verse is also protection against conflicting verses. Why God would need an out, I have no idea.
3) The Quran teaches that Jesus is not God and not the Son of God but is a true prophet of God. But it says he is second only to Muhammad.
In the Bible, which is from many manuscripts that were written before the Quran and closer to the time of the events than the Quran was, the Bible says Jesus claimed to be God and claimed to be the Son of God. This can only mean one of three possibilities.
A) Jesus was a liar: Which means the Quran is wrong because it lifts a liar up as a true prophet of God and second only to Muhammad.
B) Jesus was crazy: Which again means the Quran would be wrong for stating a crazy man was a true prophet of God and second to Muhammad.
C) Jesus was speaking the truth: Which in this case the Quran is wrong for stating Muhammad, a mere man, is higher than Jesus who is God and the Son of God.
Because the Quran states that Jesus is a prophet only and second to Muhammad, it painted itself in a corner that proves itself wrong.
Same God or Different Gods?
As for the two religions, the truth is they cannot possibly be serving the same God.
Christian God: Yahweh
Islamic God: Allah
Yahweh: Reveals Himself in three different persons. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Allah: Revealed in one God only.
Yahweh: Teaches love and forgiveness. Nowhere in the New Testament does God promote violence of any kind.
Allah: Promotes violence to unbelievers.
Yahweh: Consistently teaches us to turn away from the evils of lust and flesh.
Allah: Offers numerous virgins to men in heaven.
Yahweh: Says our eternal home will be a city, New Jerusalem, on the New Earth that God will make for us.
Allah: Says heaven or Jannah, will be a garden.
Yahweh: Sent His Son to willingly die for us, to be the only and last pure sacrifice so that we might be saved.
Allah: Sent Muhammad to dominate and make war with unbelievers to force them to accept him or die.
Yahweh: Get to Heaven: We are saved by Grace through Faith. We need only to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and be baptized by spirit (which happens when we accept Jesus into our lives) to get the promise of Eternal life. Our good works are evidence that God saved us and changed us.
Allah: Get to Jannah: Through their good deeds. One diagram I found says there are ten ways to do this. Help an orphan, Lenient with People, Patience, Integrity, Quran, Being good to Parents, Ayutul-Qursi Recitation, Going to the Mosque, Seeking knowledge, Faith and Good Deeds.
Obviously by just what I placed here they are not both the same God. Not unless you believe God has multiple personality disorder.
Unfortunately, many pastors and priests are beginning to teach Chrislam. Teach that Islam and Christianity serve the same God. By saying that, they are saying there is no Holy Trinity and Jesus was not God nor was he the son of God. Which in turn means that the Crucifixion of Christ, his descending to Sheol, and his resurrection did not happen and the price was not paid for our salvation. If they still believe that did happen, they cannot in truth agree that we serve the same God because Islam is against all of that.
God is not a hypocrite! God does not have multiple personality disorder! God does not support violence! God is a loving God, a truthful God, and a never changing God as He is today and tomorrow as yesterday and always will be the same God. Only one of the two religions can be following the one true God, and that is not Islam.
