Countering Post-Trib Rapture: God Doesn't Save Us from Tribulation
The two most common positions on the rapture by a large margin is the Post-Tribulation and the Pre-Tribulation. Logically, only one of them can be right. As I am positive the Pre-Tribulation stance is right, as well as articles supporting that, I am writing articles that discredit some of the Post-Tribulation arguments. This is one of those articles.
Over and over I see Post-Tribulation Rapture believers arguing that God never saves His people from tribulation throughout history. That instead He lets them go through it. So why do Pre-Trib believers think they are special? This argument is based solely on their lack of understanding about the Pre-Tribulation stance.
Throughout the Bible, when His people strayed away, God never beat them for it. They never truly saw God's wrath fall on them for it. God allowed them to suffer tribulation from the world until they turned back to Him. God allows us to suffer our own consequences, but God does not make a habit of beating His own children.
The rapture however is not to save us from Tribulation. It is to spare us from the Day of the Lord, also known as the Day of God's Wrath! A time when God pours His Wrath out on the entire World of unbelievers. There are multiple verses stating this. I give them in this article. Saved from Wrath
The day of God's Wrath by the way, starts in the Sixth Seal (Rev 6:17). It is finished with the Bowls of Wrath (Rev 15:1). What makes this even more interesting is that the Seven Seals are broken before the Tribulation begins. Not during the Tribulation as most Eschatologists believe. Seven Seals!
In truth, the Rapture is for two reasons. One as I explained is about saving His children from His own Wrath that will be let loose on the world. The other is because He needs to remove the church in order to bring the focus of this age back onto the Jews as He reconciles them to Him. Reason for the Rapture!
